Public Appeal Campaign 2008

Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
~ Margaret Mead

When each of us plays our part, then a goal the size of a mountain can be realized. This is the idea behind the Square Foot of Hope campaign. For many years, Langley citizens have anticipated a solution to the growing homeless situation.

Today, The Salvation Army is asking the Langley community to step up beside us to build a new facility that will shelter Langley’s homeless and offer options for those in our community who are at risk of becoming homeless.

The Gateway of Hope is a 31,000 square foot centre located at 5787 Langley Bypass. It will be a gateway to life change through programs and services offered within The Salvation Army continuum of care.

We are asking the community to help us raise a vital part of the capital required to build the Gateway of Hope. When you pledge to sponsor a square foot of hope, you are giving the gift of hope by helping to build part of the new centre. A square foot gift can help a misguided person make a step in the right direction.
